In the state of Florida, Registered Mental Health Counseling Interns must complete 1,500 hours of face-to-face psychotherapy work with clients; at least 100 hours of supervision with one hour of supervision every two weeks with a qualified supervisor. Supervision must last at least two years before obtaining licensure but must be completed within five years working as a Registered Mental Health Counselor.
