Jenny Rasmussen, MS, Community Support Specialist and Registered Art Therapist

Jenny Rasmussen, Community Support Specialist and Registered Art Therapist in Richmond Hill, GA, began working with The Bindu Institute in September of 2024. She was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio and is a huge Ohio State Buckeyes fan! She graduated high school and immediately went into the Marine Corps where she served for 8 yrs as a Communications Specialist and K9 Handler. During her time, she also had two deployments, first being Iraq and then AFG.
Jenny attended Metropolitan State University of Denver, CO, in 2016 obtaining a master's in social work degree and attained her LCSW, Licensed Clinical Social Worker as well as earning a CACII certificate (certified addictions counselor level II). She has extensive experience working in the civilian sector as a therapist who served underprivileged communities.
Jenny finally found her passion as a therapist who works with active-duty service members in a behavioral health setting. She is qualified in EMDR and recently certified in ART therapy. She has experience working with military service members concerning PTSD, trauma, IOP, depression, anxiety, sleep disorders, and substance use disorders. She worked at Fort Lewis, WA for four years providing quality behavioral health care to active-duty Army service members. She also worked at Fort Stewart, GA providing behavioral health services to Army and Air Force service members for another four years. She has a passion for military behavioral health and assisting our service members, including Active Duty, Veterans, and Retirees.
Jenny has two daughters, ages 16 and 20. She enjoys getting out in nature, hiking, water activities, running, music concerts, and cooking.
